What I Want To Find

we all have our lists
the people we wish we could kiss
but the truth is the realest ones
are the ones we never get
because we always dismiss
what could have been epic
behind the facade were all big skeptics

Too many people think love doesn't exist
so we avoid the feeling
we settle for riddling
wasn't there a time
when everything lasted?
Simplicity in this day in age are you mad?
everyone takes a glass of complicated
right before they re masked themselves

people simply can't get pass themselves
so they play with faith and twist and twirl
the after math just makes you want to hurl
you see the prettiest girls searching for
fairy tales that they may never reach
I hate to sound like a downer but
why is it that we never catch what we
set out to seek?

We fall in love with
things that are so out of reach
so when you ask me what I want to find
I say someone just as complicated
and screwed up as me
because than they would understand
regardless of the here say
they would never reprimand me
for being me.

They'd know that
there's more to me than what I
appear to be. That's what I want to find.
I must be outta my mind to write this list
but I know it'd be better than any other
Christmas gift Santa could deliver.
Just the thought of waking to everything
I've ever wanted makes my whole body shiver.
