What I See

Misty mornings, Butterflies
Waterfalls, and clear blue skies.
Peaceful mountains,
leaves on the ground.
The world is beautiful all around.

Midnight moons, purple sunsets. 
All these things I noticed
since we met.

You opened my heart and set it straight
Your caring arms unlocked my gate.
You set my tortured soul free
and showed the beauty hidden inside of me

You gave me hope
You gave me strength
Things I had lost in the past
You made me cry out with joy at last
You came and rescued me
Showed me what life could be

Made fairy tales and magic things come to life in my dreams
chased away all my cries and screams
when you took me under your wing
These are all the things you have done 
you are what I see when I see the morning sun.
