What I Like About Riding

One day someone asked me why I loved horseback riding. When I was asked I honestly didn't
have an answer. So I thought long and hard about it, and here it is.

I love to ride a horse because of the freedom I feel,
The trees as they flash by,
The wind in my hair,
The atmosphere where it is just me and my horse,
When I ride I forget all of my troubles,
The sway of the long grass as the wind blows,
The sound of the ground under the horses feet,
The fresh air,
And riding into the beautiful sunset.

But along with all of these things I love about riding I have come to realize that it is
a part of who I am. Maybe it is the fact that I have Native American blood running through
my veins.

Very descriptive and expressive write. I felt as though I was there riding along with the wind in my hair, trees flying by, and the grass blowing. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
