What I Have In My Hand
WHAT I HAVE IN MY HAND
What do I have in my hand?
What to use that God has planned?
Maybe just my pen to write.
What can such a man as I
Do for God who lives on high?
I’m so little in my sight.
God can use me as I am,
Tells me through His strength I can,
So I came my hands to Him.
Now years later, before my eyes,
God has made me so surprised
By this talent there within.
Though I may not see each dream
To develop what may seem,
That’s not my will to decide.
I will take what’s in my hand
Try to follow God’s command,
Let His will be magnified.
God’s used other ones like me
Who did not have much to see,
But they followed in His will.
Some day at His judgment seat
All my hands touched I will meet,
And forever I’ll be thrilled.
Every one like me will share
His reward in mansions fair
In that happy, golden land.
Yes, that’s all God wants from me;
Take whatever I can be
With what I have in my hand.
