What I Always Knew

You always knew
there was more for you
yet you were always
afraid to ask

You always knew
that you did'nt fit in
yet you knew that
someday you'd unmask

You always knew
you would overcome
yet you weren't sure
you'd rise to the task

Yet rise to the task
you did to unmask
and ask for what
you always knew
