I see contrasting images of life here, Robert. The first line is acknowledging its harsh reality; the next line reflects peaceful serenity; the third declares 'live for the moment' and 'make the best of it'! Regards, my friend. // paul

Spot on analysis my very insightful friend . To me that reflects much wisdom about life on your part. Recently I have written about two dozen Haiku's and have begun to like the poetry form more with each one I have written.

Thank you my friend. I was in a early morn thought about life, Nature and Fate. Hemingway, one of my favorite authors, came to mind and out came this poem.
