What He Must Do
They always strike at your weakest times,
they’re always ready with prepared lines
to try and sell you their own point-of-view,
in colleges when you’re dumb kid,
when times get tough and you’re sick of it,
they’ll lie and tell you that it’s not on you.
Put a cheap salve on your wounded pride,
so you don’t stop or dare look inside,
they’d be undone by any lessons there,
a man with truth is a threat to them,
you can’t wing if you won’t try again,
don’t feed their power by choosing despair.
They’ll enslave you this way,
want you out of the game…

so many scum out to get you,
a man must do what he must.

there’s so few people to trust,
takes everything just to break through,
a man must do what he must.
They always look at their own failure,
believe that greater things are deserved,
and any success stirs their jealousy,
get much too angry to self-reflect,
how their behavior has left them wrecked,
change is much harder than burning envy.
They target all those still in the fight,
since of their failure they shine a light,
ego chomping to tear someone else down,
they feel better if we’re all laid low,
then salt the east so that nothing grows,
if they can’t win they’d rather burn it down.
If you are to be great
then learn to live with hate…

Hates themselves…but hide the hurt,
in them a…real danger lurks,
can’t stand those…who know their worth,
they’ll try to destroy your time on earth!
