What Have I Done
I don’t remember much
but I bet the night was fun
i got into my car
i didn’t think that it was dumb
it was a ten minute drive
i’ve done it before
three lefts
and a right
and id be at my door
unfortunately the rest is still a blur
i woke inside a hospital
with a cop outside my door
i asked him
what happened
why am I here
his voice cracked as he spoke
fighting through tears
he listed three names
it was suddenly clear
my decision to drink and drive
would cost me quite dear
my freedom
my faith
my family
my life
would all perish that night
along with three lives
