What happens when we die?

What happens when we die?
Are all our lives a lie?
The lessons that we've learned
The love we gave and earned

The shadows of our memories
Beckoning our geneses
Do they linger as before?
Do they last forevermore?

What happens to our soul?
Does it stay forever whole?
Will it shatter into splinters?
As springs turn into winters

Do the echoes of our life
Challenge like a knife?
Remembrance of our goals
Shaping future souls

Is there anything beyond?
Or does it all abscond?
Space and time a mystery
In our human history
