What good is it to gain the world
What good is it for a man to gain the world but forfeit his very self?
What good is it for a man to be buried in a gold casket
if no one is there to admire its beauty?
O, foolish is the man who fails to realise
that flesh is worth more than gold,
that relations are the only riches
that truly make one rich.
For all bones are white, rich like poor,
but when they lay intertwined—
O, you know they were truly rich.
