What Goes Up Must Come Down

What Goes Up Must Come Down Up, up, and away the Marvel Comics Super Hero chants as brother and sister watching squeal in delight! The boy jumps up, pillow case laying across his back and tied at the neck for a cape and starts mimicking flying as he races around the living room. He screams...look at me...look at me, I can fly... Zroom!...Zroom!... His older sister at the wise age of 8 laughs and starts teasing him. No you can't fly you're too dumb!...dumb!...dumb!...The innocent games children play. The boy yells back, oh yes I can...Zroom!...Zroom!...No you can't!...Yes I can!... Then fly for real you big stupid head!...The boy now close to tears runs into the backyard screaming, " I'll show you I can fly!" and runs out the door. A couple of minutes pass and the girl hears her brother yelling for her to come outside and see for herself. Curious she heads out back and hears "Up here Dummy!" Then he jumps off of the roof, arms spread out, pillow case cape out just like Superman. Well almost like Superman instead he fell face first into the ground! He landed screaming...My leg!...My Leg!... You see what goes up must come down, a valuable lesson learned that day and luckily the little boy only broke one of his legs.

I jumped myself but luckily my outcome was a little better than the little boy's in my poem. Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for reading
