What Fish Must Think of Fishermen

What fish must think of us fishermen
Do they wonder why we annoy them so
with wriggling worms on silver hooks
invading their waters, we weird-looking schnooks

Casting far out in hopes of catching bass
or just dropping a line with bobbing popcorn
Fanatics take up the hunt by four in the morn
no matter the forecast, sunshine or storm

Great fun this poem is but this gal is not a fisherman, perhaps a book”worm.” Love the alliteration. … wriggling worms on silver hooks… we weird-looking schnooks. Fave!

Humorous take on fishing, Gershon. Love the word, "schnooks," lol! My son-in-law plans on fishing during our family vacation this coming September. I went flounder fishing on Long Island years ago. Have a wonderful day. :))))
