What else can a poem do

Can help you to meet you, 
        what else can poems do?
Make your thoughts shine like dew, 
        what else can poems do?

One eve, her memories 
        when begin to hurt anew, 
Bliss of balm can issue, 
        what else can poems do?

When you find your life’s boat 
                in turbulence undue,
Stir oars to do their due, 
            what else can poems do?

When some weary moments 
             wake up to distress you,
Can heal with heaven’s hue, 
            what else can poems do?
  
Sun sets when before time 
          leaving you with no clue,
Can mend your mood from blue, 
           what else can poems do?

When hate spills out bloodshed, 
            carnage, mayhem undue,
Can give mankind fresh clue, 
             what else can poems do?

When in reckless moments 
       of rage you lose head’s hue,
Can bring you back to rue, 
       what else can poems do?
