What Does Poetry Mean To You

I see myself in the words I pen. I see an escape from the world I live in. I use words to make others feel good. I use words to help me be understood. If it wasn't for poetry I would be an empty vessel you see.. Poetry gives my candle the strength to stay lit. Poetry is who I am.

This is a perfect example of what poetry would mean to me as well...an extension of myself! It keeps me alive when things go dead! I feel alive when I write and I hope others feel what it was what I felt when I wrote my words! Your poem here peaked my interest a lot, got me thinking about this subject! You were successful in doing what you wanted, telling me what poetry means to you and having me think about the same! What a fabulous write Cory, very Awesome Work!!
