What Do You Seek

With a single hand, you grip the edge of this cliff,
look down into that pit- my dear, that is your despair.
Is the strength in my hand what you truly seek now?
Or might you rather close your eyes and just let go.
Now know you must have the will to hold tight for,
I may just leave you there to hang, to weaken- despite
your plea, do your words really speak for your feelings?
