What dies never was

Bound to the senses and constrained by mind,
caged consciousness burns in mind-body urn,
finding no solace in scriptures that blind ~
oh, although our heart bleeds we never learn.

To make matters worse, space-time is a cage,
within which all manifest worlds rotate,
a beauteous canvas but yet a stage,
wherein we’re twirled about by quirks of fate.

Stretching silence betwixt two thought form chains,
poised therein as awareness self-aware,
ego disappears as also soul’s stains
whence with heart of God we seamlessly pair.

Mourn not oh hermit, ego’s bereavement ~
It represents our highest achievement
