What did we learn from Mother Earths signal
Cajoling us to be kind and gentle
As our life upturned, with her message stern
That she will not idly watch her home burn
Whilst man heartlessly upon earth tramples
Posterity will judge this parable
Message received is direct and simple
Art of living, with mindful eye discern
What did we learn
Earth strikes back; we pray for a miracle
With narrow agendas on our table
Consciousness darkened by lack of concern
Though quick to take, we are slow to return
Attitude of man, tragicomical
What did we learn
