What Did God Do On the 7th Day

God’s 7th day is today.
He is watching us, His children, implement His spiritual work.
God’s 7th day is the closing of our eyes, listening to our loved one’s sighs, meeting us through a
Baby’s cries, replenishing us in our dreams, lifting us up, helping us spiritual beings as we pretend to be
Human.
God’s 7th day is today.
He is spreading love and joy everywhere, with the smile and friendliness
of his 2-year-old-self.
Forevermore, this is His 7th day.

I grew up with God being the bearded old man; then, as an adult I wondered if perhaps he was a she? Now, I have to get used to him as his, "2-year-old-self"; I'm so confused now...oh well, great poem.

Thank you M.L. I can never watch a two-year-old without thinking of God.

Enjoyed all of this, but one part that caught my attention was "...helping us spiritual/ beings as we pretend to be/ Human." Well phrased! ;)

Thank you Rhona; I am always pretending to be human, because being human appears to be popular.
