What Child Is This

Dear little girl with eyes of blue
Your future self sends love to you
Sweet child, so innocent and small
Beware... your life will take it all
 
Keep love burning in your heart
No matter what ill wills impart
I promise you will need inner steel
To not be consumed by what you feel

Find a love that ignites your light
Music, a hobby, whatever feels right
Being different is more than okay
Just strive to always be that way

Listen child ... most important of all
So many times you’re going to fall
You'll feel the dark tunnel will never end
But remember ... you are your own best friend

Learn to love yourself without condition
You're perfectly designed for every situation.
