What Being a Mother Means To Me

Being a mother, Means you hold, The tiny fingers, Count the smallest toes. Being a mother, Means you hold, Your baby tight, When the scariest of things, When he is at freight. Being a mother, Means always holding, Your son in the darkest of days, Bring the happiest days to light. Being a mother, Even when she's the one who is hurting, In the mists of the days, In too many ways. Being a mother, Means putting a smile on your face, And just making it, Through those days.
