What Are You Waiting For?

My dreams seem so far away I can hardly catch up to them and when I do they always seem
to disappoint me. Everyday is another runway to another lonely street and I feel so alive
but so dead inside at the same time. I feel Comprimized and scratched, I have love from
so many and yet I cry for tomorrows kisses. But I want to change the world someday; at
least save some poor girl from starvation or help fight a disease. I want to educate and
spread love and not hate; I want everyone to see the world from my eyes, from my space. I
feel trapped in a time where the speed keeps rewinding and I am constantly being forced
to do the same things over again never getting what I truly desire finished. But it
wasn't until I heard the words of an angel whisper in my ear " So you want to change the
world what are you waiting for? Say your going to start right now what are you waiting
for? It only takes one voice so come on now and shout it out give a little more What are
you waiting for?" that I truly realized that though it may take some time it's here and
it's now and I can make a difference no matter how little. Today is more important than
tomorrow, the things I fix today can make little kids have blankets and beds instead of
sleeping in dirt in the garbage in the future. So the question really is what are you
waiting for? You say your going to change the world stop drowning in self doubt. What are
you waiting for?
