What Are We Fighting For

I dream about a blessed day, when we’re unified, standing hand in hand. Let’s just put aside our hate, for heaven’s sake. Chorus What are we fighting for? Let’s end hate’s violent war. Embrace love, so hate can be no more. What are we fighting for? There’s a pandemic plaguing the land. Because of it, fear has visited every man. It’s an invisible enemy that we haven’t a clue how to fight. Chorus What are we fighting for? Let’s end hate’s violent war. Embrace love, so hate can be no more. Our children are the future, if we go on like this, What kind of future will that be? Chorus What are we fighting for? Let’s end hate’s violent war. Embrace love, so hate can be no more. Let’s throw down the weapons of intolerance and destruction. And pick up peace, hope, love and joy to have in our arsenal. Chorus What are we fighting for? Let’s end hate’s violent war. Embrace love, so hate can be no more. Bridge I choose love, let it consume me. Only walking in love can eradicate the poisonous venom of hate. What are we fighting for? I hope for a better tomorrow, I’m tired of all the sorrow. Let cross the bridge of hate and walk into love’s wing. …………….. So we can know what we’re fighting to for Oh…. What you’re fighting for? I can almost hear the music to this poignant write. emotional and so right. We don't need war or fighting, but more love empathy tolerance, and understanding. Very well done.
