What Am I?
What is a girl who trusts in God?
Me, a tall rhythmic girl
Curls on my head who rocks the world
Tan and brown eyes
A crooked smile with a flair
I’m the one who’s always there
That is a girl who trust in God
Why is laughter the medicine of the soul?
Questions for time that only time knows
But with the right voice
And words of irony
All can see what is funny
The young child within comes out
But remember
You don’t stop laughing ‘cause you grow old
You grow old cause u stop laughing
Judgment hour is all around
Peers of judgment coming out
In your face cause what you’re about
Bang! Peers of judgment slam the gavel
Grind you deeper into the ground
Peers of judgment and peers of harassment
Wrong eyes, clothes, hair
Friends, family, house
If your not like them then what you about?
Marriage, kids, a husband and a dog
All things I see in my future
What I hold close to my heart
Softly stroking my sons hair
My husband’s hugs humble my ways
Time passes as I watch my family grow
Growing into the family I’ve always held near
But always and forever religious I will be
I am a girl who trust in God
That is me.
