What a Waste

I was well and doing good Life’s full and heart’s contented No pang, no tinge of sadness And mind knew no worries I had been completely at peace Before I just lured by a fair fairy To the comforts of physical world And the dazzling beckons of luxury Nothing wrong in it to have desires To ride on clouds, to climb on cliffs As I got this demon to have said But never warned about storms and hails And on the way I could be hit by blizzard My dreams could be dashed on ground Dawn can break into nightmares And nights can go without sleep A well settled life could be unsettled and restless And this happens most of the cases My case if would have been different How fortunate I would have been All the joys of life would have been under my feet Now I am down and my feet are up As on my dream flight I was struck By hails and blizzards and broken my wings Lying aimless with blinking eyes And with faded face thinking What a waste to have in life!
