What a Pair?

Tucked away glinting thoughts 
like seeds beneath the bark 
of half-remembered dreams 
that echo autumn’s needs
     tend to duck. 
     Pluck them out
     under muck
     stuck well fast—
     they bring luck.

It is almost as if the author is playing with the minds of those in audience seeking for depth of understanding.
