What a Great Gift

What a great gift, my thanks to you
For heartfelt smiles, all that you do
A whispered word, my doubts belie
Not when I  lose, but when I try
I learned to fly, because of you

When I was down, somehow I knew
You would be there to see me through
You dried my tears and hushed my sighs
What a great gift

When I would act without a clue
You would assure my wisdom grew
Face all my fears, failure deny
On your support I could rely
There is a me because of you
What a great gift
