What a Great Gift

What a great gift, my thanks to you
For heartfelt smiles, all that you do
A whispered word, my doubts belie
Not when I  lose, but when I try
I learned to fly, because of you

When I was down, somehow I knew
You would be there to see me through
You dried my tears and hushed my sighs
What a great gift

When I would act without a clue
You would assure my wisdom grew
Face all my fears, failure deny
On your support I could rely
There is a me because of you
What a great gift

sounds like praise to MOM. Did I get it right? (though some praise the dad instead!) Well, if rondeau are a challenge for you, I would not know it to look at THIS.It's just FINE, and better than fine, it's GREAT. (I'm posting mine later for this contest. I hope people won't get sick to death of the same topic I always write about!)

Actually I did not have one parent in mind. They both had their strengths and equally guided my growth. Thanks for the kudos. Now don't go knocking me out of the winners circle.
