What a Difference a Day Makes

Loyal listener.. perfect friend.. keeper of my secrets.. I feared you knew not your wortH! Offering your shoulder... my burdens to bear.. How we laughed at life's DramA. Velvet lies dripped from your tongue.. enticing a confession of my Love.. I prayed that we never parT. Enchanted by your smile.. infatuated by your embrace.. I gave to you my lovE How could you.. You knew what my heart felt.. I loved you so welL. Affection dead and buried.. remorse holds my hand.. my trust just an empty echO. Tenderness has deserted me.. callousness floods my soul.. I would have your heart on a shiV. Emotionless I see the real you.. my devotion dead..vengeance flickers I shower you with hatE!

By the looks of the brilliant poems I am reading it looks like you all have new ink pens. I wish you all a wonderful week filled with love and inspiration. Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate. Love, Carol

Awesome the way you combined "hate" and "love" in the last letters of these excellent verses, Patricia. And the messag is right on target. Unrequited love or misplaced love can turn to hate. Excellent poem! Love, Carolyn

Wow, the trust instilled in a friend, and now such feelings of betrayal! This power-packed poem makes me grieve for you, for whatever created this disillusionment of someone once loved and trusted...now seen in a different light! So sorry if this is true...it pain is evident! God Bless...Carrie
