Wetted Stone

I wish for you to be like a stone just thrown onto the shore
still wet with salt and water
your colors all revealed
not dried by living...not faded by too much exposure

I long for us both
 to feel just birthed again
as from the sea

Like the first crawling creatures
brave enough to go
where no creatures had gone before

I wish for you to be wet from foam and froth
salt and sand and sun...your glow illuminated

Your colors and your creativity like blood flow
coursing through everything around you
I wish for you...

I wish
 for...you
