We,The Beggars

We have come to you
Like the sun to the cloud does
Anything you can afford
Please,do,spare us.
We've been under this bridge
even the ants gossips us
Because we share the same meal.
We have come to you
President soldier,Pastor Navy
Money,nuts,fruit-
we'll appreciate!
We have come to you
For the course of that thing
that 'use to let you have money'
We're also hungry for money
and the only delicacies
We're ready to consume
Is that thing 'that use to let you have
money'.
We have come to you
Mr Evans,Reverend Oyenusi*
'That thing that use to give you money'
That long sugarcane
that has tyre
That thing ' that use to do "Pa! Pa!"
Liek when the nuts
Has clash with the stone
We heard that, that thing
'Used to make people afraid'
and 'use to give you people money'
Teach us how to use that thing
At least, 'we too want to have money- ego-'
We have come to you
Alhaji M.K.O-
'Shebi, they tell us that you use to say that
You have seven ile* and
Fleets of cars'
We only know that you
'Use to speak to people'
But later after you 'speak'
Money - plenty money
'Use to come in to your pocket'
Maybe your talk
'Use to sweet well well'
Come and teach us
How to speak 'sweet talk'
So that we'll also have money
And after that
we will not disturb you again.
'Sorry Sir!'
Somebody use to say that
You use to do one-thing -
Red-tomatoes and long cain
that you use to tie it together
And later in the night
You'll put it on your tongue
So that anything you say
Will put hand into their
pocket,and take money.
'Is that true?'
Though,we're less concerned
'Sir!',just teach us how to talk 'sweet talk'
We have come to you,
Bishop propher,Esther Jezebel
We crave for wealth
At least, the essence of our health.
3' o clock we're up
Buzzing mosquitoes praying
In our ears -
'It's time for morning devotion'
they'll always say
Then we'll wake up
And join them in prayers.
We're tired of this life -
we mean,this kind of life.
'cos even if the ground bite us
we will never sign up into death's account.
We just need your help
anything at all can help.
Dried fish,coconout's back,
Any garri,kakarugba* nuts,
Dunlop,sac bata' or anything
That our legs is protected
from devotional agents.
We have come to you
too, 'Beggy-beggy'-
that's what they 'use
to call us'
- Beggy-beggy,olofun
tolotolo -
We have come to you
too,for your blessings
not for moneys but earnings
Your saliva are better
to us than oceans of river.
For oceans quenches thirst for a while
but yours lasts for a second.
We have come to you
too,to bid you courage
Go get courage beyond
this promiscous orb
Two legs,two eyes,two ears
One head, five nails, five toes
But half-brain
quarter sense
three-quarter skillfulness
Zero thoughtfulness.
We have come to you
too,to change-
APC change!!!-
God has given you
what you can use
legs,eyes,ears; transfused!
Get all your beigns
into existence
Get all your things,skills
not enforcement
we have come to you
too,because
you're not created
to dress the roads -
the tattered express.
You're made to be
like him,yea,him;-
Bishop prophet and coe.
We have come to you
too,because of indifference.
'Na so dem dey do am
Oya na so i go do am'.
Change your mindset
to change your world
A fixated mindset,
Is a fixated world.
We have come to you
too, 'Allah bah mu sa'
That's the song they
sing to you everyday.
Some have even
made you enemy
like the daffodils to the sun.
They don't want to see
you,because you're the same.
They said you stink
They said you're rude
Even some calls you fool
Wake up!; 'Allah bah mu sa'
You can go beyond this;even far
But their are two
things to this
one,you'll have a rule
two,you'll the rule fix
Make sure the rule is long
Tighten it,and make it strong.
After that,place the rule
Before you
Then walk on it
Throughout the streets.
Once in a while you may fall
But instead retreating be in courage tall
Sooner or later
You'll have beholders
Sooner or later
they'll bring to you a ladder
that you'll climb to places that are higher.
Bur after the deed
is almost done
Make sure you
Put God first.
You're more than this
You're not where
you are supposed to be.
Wake up,it's dawn
Don't be in fear drown
Open your glottis,sing a song
A ballad,lullaby; just for fun
Then people will come
But if you close those lips
No noe will open it for you
'Allah bah mu sa',better speak
now or later
it may be late.
You've heard my sermon
now; do you need an interpreter?
Then i think the matter is high
As it is when the sky is about to cry.
If you do need
an interpreter or so
I think it'll be spiritual
help or so.
Den,that's beyond my
Dos,don'ts and abilities
But their is an option-
JESUS CHRIST
JESUS CHRIST
The only option
Option?
No,the best path
you can thread on
The path full of thorns
Thorns that'll pierce out
sorrow lodging in your life
He nd d the Holy Spirit will do that
But the spirit
Will come only
Thru the path.
Say; 'I accept Jesus as Lord
Save me.
Then the interpreter will come
And will make you the rope, ladder, till you
rise.
