Westport Wnter

Westport Winter

Dull 
same as outside
costly lamps are lit
while we waited
they leave with bags
tepid lipstick'd 
cups, coffee stained 
saucer dereliction
They'll fetch cars 
before tickets run out
raining now
a gauze curtain
to make headlights dance 
like Salome
Performances
outside Maddens bar
and rain tick-tocks a rhythm 
on umbrella's
