Were You Really Here?
An old house,
Creaking floorboards,
Scary Sounds all around the house,
I see the shadows,
Pass the doorways,
As if searching,
For the someone they lost.
I feel the magic is in the air,
Wishing for a story but,
Getting an adventure.
Seeing the history from the past,
Yet entering into the present.
All those times,
I should have seen the signs.
I looked into their eyes, and
I swear I saw the disguise.
Imagine my surprise,
When they showed their fears and,
They realized they weren't really here,
So they just disappeared.
