We'Re Blessed

Holidays aren't the same.
I miss you terribly
My heart is in pain.

I try to smile, but it's obviously fake.
My happiness left with you.
When you left this place.

While I sit at our table, bowing down to say grace.
I can't help but wonder, if you're here with us today.

Then an empty chair beside me, inched up closer slowly.
I looked up at everyone, confused was our family.

Not sure what to say.
I grinned and said "We're blessed."
To have you here with us.
Our familiar cherished guest.
