Well Spent
Just past this moment, lies the rest of time.
Everything that ever was is gone,
And everything that is happening presently
Is irrelevant. But anything can happen in
The future...
The moon and stars could unfold in front of
Our eyes, and give us all of life’s answers
In a split second. Or it could all crumble in
On itself and undo any sort of “progress”
We have ever made.
The world may be ours,
But we belong to the stars.
From dust we began, and to dust we will
All return.
Eventually, it’s all nothing but stardust.
And even then, that star will explode
Just like every other.
But just past this moment, lies the rest of time.
We should aim to make it “well spent”...
