We'll Never Know
Where's it told what tomorrow brings
who's in control pulling the strings
it goes to show
we'll never know
who's to say what's around the bend
down the road or at day's end
we'll never know
and so it goes
what's in store for wrong or right
in bright moonlight or on the other side of night
we can wish altho'
we'll never know
tho' we've been making plans
and scheming schemes
since time began
still we're hoping
and dreaming dreams
but until it's history no more mystery
mild or severe
we'll never know 'til time's become
water over the weir
