Welcoming Summer

Welcoming summer
By Michelle Morris

I saw a butterfly flit
Across the garden
The sun streamed down
Welcoming summer

The verdant grass
Flowers blooming
Blue, blue sky
And ocean swooning

Butterfly hope
Garden grace
Heaven smiles
On our blessed space

Love and light
Bees and trees
May our humanity
Create global freedom
