Welcome To the Soup

WELCOME TO THE SOUP! This is Poetry Diva. I know when I am being cheated. Between first and fifth place my poems define. If not, I have not follow the syllable count. However, in rhyme, couplet, free verse, etcetera, I am never an underdog. Therefore, why do I enter contests when I know it favoritism on the Soup y’all? Dear Verlena, I read this poem previously and I just love the honesty you express. The favoritism seems most rampant among those who hold contests and pretty much just say, "Send me any old thing." Friends are rewarded. Not right and I agree with everything you've said. Love, Carolyn

Dear Verlena, Often there is favoritism shown in the contests. I try not to take them too seriously - just for fun and the love of writing. A strong message in your great poem! Love, Carolyn

Sometimes when I just write and let it flow from whatever is in there the work comes out beautiful..It is very hard to write a poem that has meter, rhyme and needs to flow as well but some can turn those out ...Thanks for the visits to my page..I appreciate the time spent there..I am doing a contest where I want a Triolet with at least one Zeugma and if it is not a Triolet then it gets eliminated in round one..Sara
