Welcome To Neverland

I don't want to grow up!
I want to stay young forever.
Standing at my window, staring at the stars looking for a path to Neverland.
Trying to find my way to you.
To die would be an adventure
A picture painted perfect and beautiful.
As I leave the window with a sigh
My name lost in the eyes of a young man
As he leads me somewhere new
A place where you never grow old
A place made for someone who believes
A place unknown to adults
A place filled with pirates

I don't want to grow up!
I want to stay in Neverland
Where i am a lost boy
Where my heart body and soul remain young
Living by the quote "To die would be an adventure"

Savanah, I enjoyed reading your free verse poem. A Peter Pan fantasy. There was a time when I didn't want to grow old. Well, I finally reached a monumental age in which I am considered old compared to young people. Mind over matter? Have a great week, Sonia.
