Welcome To Depression

Welcome to Depression, where it takes your power away
Welcome to Depression where sometimes you don't shower for days
Welcome to Depression where you believe the lies it feeds your head
Welcome to Depression where sometimes you don't have the strength to leave your bed

If you've never had depression you won't understand
It's a battle where it takes everything you have to get the upper hand
I became insensitive, because when you have feelings you get hurt fast
Trying to find a new door to the future, but you can't forget the past

I've been promiscuous with girls, just to feel some kind of affection
Looking in the mirror, but I can't find the reflection
Bipolar so not many want to stick around for my mood swings
Plus they don't like how I view things

At times I want to relapse with Self Harm just to see if i can overcome it again
6 years free, but I did it so much as a teenager I Numbed my skin
We try to hide from our Obstacles and escape our nightmares
Try as you might, but you can't run from within

Sitting alone, hiding from the world with music blaring
stay quiet, because you know people aren't caring
Cry your self to sleep every night, then throw a fake smile on in the morning
and just as you think you've beat depression, it comes back with no warning
