Weight of Stones Unturned

When we’re traveling life’s pebble-filled road
Our soles touch down on many unturned stones
Gather them and we’d decrease others’ load
To spare them from unrelenting moans

Though thorns pierced the flesh on our Savior’s head
He focused on His goal to save mankind
Staggering across sharp stones, His feet bled
   Sacrifices made, salvation to find

It's always nice to read verses like these. Thanks for the reminder at the end. And, yes, death anniversaries are pretty hard to deal with. I suppose what matters is that we still keep them alive in our memories. Hmm...as for posting more poems, I do tend to eat my words now and then, so perhaps I will, just not sure when my muse will return. I hope you'll feel better soon.

Wouldn't it be nice if people stopped to pick up those stones so others didn't have to walk on a rocky road. I like the way the first verse leads into the second one. Good luck in Rick's contest.
