Weekend Warrior

It's late Friday afternoon,
Inside I cry 'hooray'
Nearly time to loose the shackles,
Let the devil out to play.

Soon the weekend warrior
Will appear and run amok,
Just another hour to go
As I look up at the clock. 

My alter ego's twitching
For liberation's near,
Friday, welcome Friday
A day I hold so dear.

On Fridays I take off the suit
Be happy, go berserk,
For there is a side to me,
That no-one sees at work.
