Harry, no this is not an insensitive poem. It just reminded me of an old friend in a very good and positive way. It's wonderful to have someone like that in your life, even if their time on Earth is limited. Love, Carolyn

Good morning Harry. I think older folks work at marriage. All our friends are still married and most around 40 years. The young folks seem to be getting married 2 or 3 times and you wonder what the problem is. God Bless Phyl

I had a "best friend" of 18 years and we'd always said we would get married after we retired because we enjoyed each other's company so much. He died on Christmas in 2005, but your poem made me think of Chris. Platonic friends, but we couldn't have loved each other more. Excellent poem, Harry, brought back some wonderful memories. Love, Carolyn
