Web of Chaos

Tangled in a web of chaos;
confusion there at every turn,
but somewhere in the mesh of mayhem
were lessons that I had to learn.

Many times my will has wavered.
Many days and nights were strewn
with ups and downs of smiles and sorrows,
while in my heart the passion burned.

Compassion for the cries of many;
those who wail and those who mourn
for those now lost and gone to heaven
drifting on the breeze of death.

In my heart the love is burning;
its glowing embers feed my soul.
At my core the tide is turning;
the fractured mirror now a whole.

Say what you feel to those around you.
Speak in words of trust and love
for one day they'll be gone forever
lost to ethereal realms above.
