Wearing the Skin I'M In

i need no badge
to wear—
my skin embodies
the wholeness of whose
and who i am—courageously
evolving in the beauty of blackness
reflecting like the moon
does the sun—
the powerful light
of perseverance radiating
from the divine logos
of deliverance to eternal freedom
both here and there…
