Wearing a Smile

Its nights like these
That makes it so hard to believe
Its pain like this
That leaves me begging for your kiss

Smiles are only as good
As the lies of the beholder
Words are only as true
As the hearts of the beholder

It’s so hard to breathe
I’m trying so hard to believe
Hope seems so far out of sight
Stuck in this hell lookin for the light

I try my best to wear this smile
Hoping it’s just for a while
But day by day I lose who I am
Just like the names lost in the sand

Smiles are only as good
As the lies of the beholder
Words are only as true
As the hearts of the beholder

Doesn't anyone see
I lost my faith in me
Won’t anyone please look for my scar
Because happiness is just too far

I’m longing for your touch
Because right now Heaven knows I could use that much
I’ve spent too much time on my own
And I can’t spend another night alone

Smiles are only as good
As the lies of the beholder
Words are only as true
As the hearts of the beholder
