Weakness of Power - Uzziah the King

A lifetime of hard work
A life full of pain and trials
Yet thy God gave you success

And power and fame
Had become you
And then you forget Him

You thought
You’re over the law
And you cross the boundary

No matter how hard you build
Your power and greatness
Will put you down in seconds if you drowned by it

Great king you have forgotten
The day when you sought Him
And now you’re afflicted

By your own
Power hungry soul
From top you fall down

And the weakness of power
Consumed you till you’re death
And the stigma it brings stings you till today

Wow, this poem is spectacular, by far one of my favorites I have ever read (and I'm not just saying that). Is it published or what? It's really good, and you are extremely talented... I've read some of your other poems as well. You should visit my site: poeticpossibilities.tk ! I think this poem could have a really good chance of winning one of our contests! Wish you the best with your poetry and I hope you get published! : )Jacob Cramer

It is not publish yet, It is one of the hundred poems I've written sad to say not one of them has been published yet although I got a draft of 2 of my soon to be publish poetry collection book.
