Weak Scraps An American Sonnet

Endless words hinder left unsaid,
it’s past time to lay them all out.
I don’t care what leads to a shout,
in rough water I’m willing to tread.

Our conversations aren’t easy,
I’m over this tired dynamic .
Weak scraps cannot belittle me,
nothing cuts that mirrors plastic.

You simply reach out and squash it,
there’s no need for understanding.
Silence can be so demanding,
say it strong don’t soften the grit.

We’re full of unfinished business,
I’m so sick of bogus kindness.
