We Won'T Get Hurt
The evils of this world can't hurt me
Neither can be shadows
Nor can the negative vibes
More so,
Since,
It's that time of year again
Love is to be held upon a throne
And carried throughout the roads
So as to be revered and glorified
As that which it is:
A power potent enough to allow
The world to keep revolving
Through its will!
Love is our Ruler,
Aware that we need it to keep
Flowing from us to our parents
And from them, back to us!
Love is our Ruler,
As we transfer it later on
To our lovers, to our husbands
To our wives and even to our children
Later on!
Love is our essence
And it's high time
We sit back and reflect
Of how can take care
Of those whom life has kept deprived;
Those who get born without a name
Those to whom no warm food is made available
Three times a day
Those who have no roof above their head
Those for whom living is a daily struggle
In our most hostile world!
Yes,
Love needs to be selfless
As it seeks to be untied
Love needs to flow
And the world shall become
The resting place
Of angels as they journey
Towards their destinations
For it is only when love is given
That it does get returned
And when that shall be,
I won't be the only one to say
That I can't get hurt by that which makes
Up the essence of our world
But so shall the rest of my brothers and sisters!
