We Will Not Comply

We Will Not Comply I never thought I’d live to see the day When children would be taught that God is dead, The flag we love, someone would take away, Or leaders in corruption share a bed. It matters not to me who ridicules; I am American, I will rebel. I’ll keep my God, my guns, my right to use Free speech the truth to tell. We never thought to live in tyranny— Just to stand for truth could mean your life; We need to recognize we are not free— We will not save our country without strife. Will we rise and claim our liberty Or take the lies and bow to slavery?

A powerful hardhitting poem. Awesome rhymin. When they teach God is dead, their souls die and they self-destruct. I have lots of research to prove that. Nice to read u again.

enjoyed your sonnet but, if I may take the other side of your arguement. When my generation turned 18 the gov. told us we were going to war and 50 thousand of us died. And we went. The America I see today is no less free than when I was 18.The only difference I see is there are more people standing in the town sq on soap boxes telling us we aren't.As for slavery that ain't happening...again.
