We Will Never Meet

Life’s journey means we never meet
But the love we share as just one heartbeat

We will never see each other’s tears of joy or pain
We will never have the chance to shelter each other from the rain

What we share is a caring heart
And a love of music and of art

In a world that’s filled with pain
We have choosen to dance in the rain

And to stand beneath cherry blossom trees
as petals fall on a gentle breeze

We leave our footprints on a virgin beach
our undying love we beseech

We light a candle to burn day and night
Our love to burn so bright.

Knowing that we will never meet.
