We Will Miss You Dear Friend

We will miss you dear friend,
You were always there to greet us at the barn,
We open the door and there you are,
I can't believe I found you,
Laying on your side,
Your body looked so lifeless,
Being outside.
We don't know what happened,
We know you can out run the dogs,
I wish I was there with you,
To see if I could stop it,
We will miss you dear friend.
Forever in our hearts,
You are the cat,
That no cat will replace,
In that special place deep in our hearts.

Tori, such a deep and true poem. It is a hard thing when they die. My dad's barn once held as many as 44 cats - incoming strays and cast-offs were always welcomed. Now they are down to 2.

She was very close to a lot of us 4h kids. There will most likely never be a cat like her. She will forever remain in our hearts and thank you. - Tori
